Blissful

Pampering at its best, Bliss spa in London's South Kensington is the best place to scrub up in style. Coming in for a manicure and pedicure is rather like going for a petite holiday in the midst of the working week. The plush booths are rather like aircraft cubicles that swivel and turn, fitted for maximum comfort and practicality they allow oneself to totally relax. With a menu of smoothies offered on request, one can indulge in the 'orange zinger' (an organic orange carrot and ginger blend to cleanse, re-new and re-energize) or the more biblically nicknamed a 'last temptation of iced,' (a combination of banana, iced soy milk and coconut flakes) whilst getting clipped and shined.
All around counters of bliss products are stacked high, with even a sushi-style revolving counter for the manicurists to whip out their goods. But best of all though, in my personal opinion, are the glossy TV screens built into the wall playing continuous loops of episodes of Sex and the City. As I had my nails buffed and painted for the coming week of beach sand coming my way, I don't think I've ever felt more 'Carrie' in my life and after four episodes of watching Samantha screw the absolute hunk my nails were primped to perfection. LBF will be definitely back soon.

Product of Choice: The only exfoliator I swear by is Bliss's Hot Salt Scrub with eucalyptus. It leaves the skin divinely smooth and smelling delicious.

Life in A Day

LBF has always thought of herself as a screen siren, one who, like a diamond in the rough, would one day rise and take her place on the big screen. Well. That day has come.
Unfortunately I am in no way implying that I will be in a Hollywood blockbuster, but close to it, for Ridley Scott and Kevin Macdonald (legendary Oscar-winning film director) have teamed up to create 'Life In A Day,' a historic 'global experiment to create the world's largest user-generated feature film' shot on one day, July 24th. In the description of the documentary the rules are you have precisely 24 hours to capture a glimpse of your life on camera, uploading it onto youtube, where the most imaginative and compelling footage will be edited and used as part of the experimental project, produced and directed by two giants of the film industry.
Macdonald describes the documentary as a kind of time capsule, a record of what it's like to live one day on planet earth, that, in 20 or 30 years time people will look back on with awe. In this way he's asking us as residents of this great big spinning rock to document human life in its most basic form.
For most of us commoners these kind of once-in-a-lifetime-cliche-chances pass by fleetingly, but here is the opportune moment to strike. In other words, grab your flip camera and your daily routine and go. There's never been anything more simple.

London is one of the most diverse cities in the world, what could be a more perfect backdrop? LBF commands you to go out into the streets, film the annoying people sleeping on your shoulder in the tube, the office pranks you perform when the boss isn't looking, the way you wink at the cashier in Pret-A-Manger for the morning cuppa, the lazy moments spent in Hyde Park with your mates, or Hoxton Square. Film everything and anything that makes you you, whether you're a super indie tattooist in vintage clothes and tie-dye hair living in Brick lane, or a banker in the city having drinks in the pub after work. Anything goes!

How to:Dress like a Rocker

Acne
Rita Shear sheepskin jacket
£1,140

Acne

Flex Cuts mid-rise jeans

Alexander Wang
Frejal double-layer boots
£620

The perfect look for a grimy gig where your boyfriend's band is playing. Black is always a safe colour, it slims, blends in with the background, and paired with smoky eyes and a nude shine lipstick gives a reputable air of 'mystery.' After all, who wouldn't want to be mistaken for Madonna or Kate Moss slinking round backstage? In this way, Acne and Wang can do you no wrong, and the individual pieces are versatile items that can be matched for many an occasion.
LBF channels this look from one of her favourite models, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley who dated the son of a Rolling Stone, Tyrone Wood, and is at present, taking up Megan Fox's role in Transformers 3 (set for release July 1st 2011.) Having worked with the film's director Michael Bay in a Victoria's Secret commercial, she is making the leap from the winged glitter runway to the big screen. Rosie's laid-back rocker-chic look is one that LBF loves.

Louis Vuitton Fall/Winter 2010/2011

Below is a video from the making of Vuitton's Fall/Winter collection. As it looks, Marc Jacobs (the brand's creative director and fashion guru in his own right) has opted to return to the Hollywood glamour era of the 50's and 60's, returning to the classic shapes and forms that remind us of the femininity of the modern woman.
Jacobs sure knows how to pick his leading ladies, it's clear in this video how each beauty compliments the next, what with Vondianova's spacial glaring eyes, Elson's eclectic fiery red hair and Turlington's exquisite delicate features, the comparisons aptly capture the timelessness of the brand itself, representing all form of the godly woman.

Summer Accessories- Chanel Tattoos

The perfect way to accessorize at the beach. For those who fancy the look of a tattoo but without the pain and years of wear, this limited edition series of Chanel tattoos from the label's Spring 2010 collection could be just the thing. I've tried them myself, and have to say they look good, they last (and don't blur or smudge so as to have the effect of a sludgy black fungus infection as so many henna tats do) but the only down-side is that they are costly, round £50. Then again, a small price to pay for something so beautiful (they do look quite sexy with a bikini, and it's quite fun when people ask if they're real=)

Hurry though, summer is upon us and they're soon to be sold out!

Tanned-On Tattoos: After spending a few days lounging in the sun my Chanel tat wore away and left underneath a gloriously imprinted sparrow on my skin. Talk about two-for-one!
